I am from Egan, South Dakota. I am a Black Jack Dealer and full time student. I am currently majoring in Computer Information Management Systems as well as Electronic Commerce. I enjoy watching all types of movies but I would have to say that B movies are my favorite.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
Statistically speaking extraterrestrial life has to exist. I would say 100 to 200 years we should find evidence. We will finally know that we are not alone but to the downside there could be some cultural shock.
I don't know on the beacon. We have a hard enough time relating to others on the planet we would have to have some major social changes in order to interact with others. If we do send a beacon just send out information on how to page us.
I'm running it mainly to test the performance on my computer. I like the idea of a lot of people donating there CPU time to handle a major number crunching project.
