Profile: Stephen Andersen

Personal background
Growing up I have always been facinated with space exploration and contacting others. Close Encounters of the Third Kind was a movie that sparked my interests a young age to question if we are the only ones in this vast universe. I also track satelittes via http://liftoff.msfc.nasa.gov/ in my spare time and look to the stars to view one of the best inventions man has created.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I believe we are not the only ones who look to the stars and wonder. I think that we will make contact after my death, but my children will experience this. We have begun our part to contact others by the Voyager mission, and we should send another out on a different trajectory. I have run Seti@home under one account shortly after this program begun and created another after a hard drive crash and I couldn't remember my account info. I am glad though the information I was able to process was not lost and could have made a detrimental impact on the project.
