Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I do believe in extraterrestrials, quoting from the popular movie Contact
"If there isn't, it's a pretty big waste of space." I think we could discover
extraterrestrial life through SETI but right now, with are technology limits I
think aliens would have to discover us to make it worth while. Benefits of
such a discovery will influence everything, dangers could be devastating, look
how we treat are selves, lets just hope there more civilized and evolved than
us! Humans should transmit a beacon, containing such information that is with
no opinion but just fact, including the best theory, send simple math. I
personally run the SETI@home program to help the SETI project. One suggestion
about the program is you should include a way to hear the information being
analyzed, if it is possible to do and to hear.
