Personal background
I’m in my mid 50’s and am involved in the developing and marketing of computer software that is targeted for large corporations. The hobbies I spend most of my time are the theatre, enjoying both stage and screen. I watch most of the movies that come out and will watch as many plays that my wallet will allow.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
Do I think extraterrestrial life exists?
I’m sorry but I think that’s a silly question. If I don’t believe they exist, then I would not be helping to look for them.

How will humans discover extraterrestrial life?
I think they would try to contact us. However, to do that, we would have to be listening.

Should humans transmit a beacon for others to find?
Yes. We should transmit the same information about us that we would like to know about them

Why do I run seti@home?
Because I got tired of Space Invaders? Sorry, I just had to do that.
I think making contact is inevitable, maybe not in my lifetime, but sometime. I just want to be involved.
