| Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home |

1. I think so, in whatever form it is, like us or just a particle of bacteria, we will find it. no matter in a week or in a few thousand years. the possible benefit could be, that mankind unites itself in a new way - the only danger I see at the current time would be, that most of mankind isn´t ready even for the thought of intelligent extraterrestial life.
2. Yes, we should send a beacon, we´re doing it anyway with our TV and Radiowaves. Earth probably glows already like a McDonalds Sign in Space.
3. I run Seti, because I like to to something for scientific research, what better way than to help, where help is needed, is there? I think its a great project where finally simple non-professors:) can do something for their dreams...
