Personal background |
I develop games and jigsaw puzzles for a living. |
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home |
I run SETI@home because it's like most of my projects, a total longshot with virtually no chance of a payoff, but way cool if it ever works out. I admire the spirit that makes people start and participate in such endeavors. I also think that distributed processing is a brilliant concept and I credit Seti with its development and persistence.
Suggestions? FEEDBACK! if someone uncovers an interesting work unit, tell them! If you find some REALLY interesting ones, publicize them. I don't think the integrity of the project will be compromised if you keep it in the public eye. |
