Personal background |
I consider myself a temporary resident. Many people are aware of this fact, I acknowledge it, there is a difference. I have a fascination with the concept of what SETI provokes. There are answers but it is the questions that must be asked correctly. SETI provides information to formulate the correct questions. I have dedicated any findings to my daughter, the "J" in JMR. She is the benefactor of all that I can accomplish during my tenancy here. I don't have a schpiel on my life, what I do or what I expect. But I do appreciate the opportunity to be a part of this project. Life is well worth living. This is more than a novel cliche in my life. My hobby--live and laugh and enjoy. |
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home |
Yes i feel that life exists beyond our planet. The dicovery of this new life may have already been accomplished but not yet realized. Mankind seems to have a tendency in overlooking the obvious. To attempt to foresee the dangers of such a discovery reminds me of a radio broadcast many years ago. I would rather embrace all of the facets of this discovery. Conflict promotes growth. Diversity promotes acceptance. Should a beacon be transmitting information? Yes this is a good idea. As far as the information...the contents should contain some self humility with a dash of relative actualization. I run SETI at home because I feel that this is a valuable endeavor and I feel very appreciative to be offered the opportunity to participate. Cooperation is an answer to many difficult situations. The suggestions that I have is to establish centers around the country/world that could interact with local schools, colleges, hospitals, etc. so that they can be added to the list of participants. |
