Profile: SERKER Worldwide, Inc.

Personal background
Born in 1971, I started my computer business in 1984. Since then, the company has evolved from soldering chips onto mainboards, to kits, to parts, and finally in 1989 a sudden move to networking. In 1996, we moved slowly into the niche of network security. By 1998, we incorporated, and custom configure secure NAS/routing solutions across varied client networks and OSes. OS Favorite's: MacOS9, Solaris 7, Suse 6.4, Win2k. OS Worst: Mac OSX, Redhat 8.0, WinME. Best OS: GNO/ME for AppleIIgs--running seti m68k-hp v1.02, and may get to WU #2 within two more years (has been crunching it now for almost 4 years at 2.6Mhz) How's that for dedication?
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
As a distributed project, Seti has the more positive role of suggesting itself for the greater and long term future of mankind--others seem to be mired in the competition of deciphering and attacking the security of mankind. My desire is to see someone (most likely not me) be able to say "Ha!!! We've discovered something new!" as opposed to "Hah, your code isn't strong enough to protect yourself". Either way, it beats calculating Microsoft's Idle process. I think we already KNOW that answer.
