Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I've always enjoyed learning about new developments in Space and Science. When I found out that the SETI team was working on a new concept to help them distribute the computing power needed to do the research they do right, I jumped at the opportunity. I've been on board ever since they released the first public version. I've since joined a team of people DSL Reports that have been helpful in increasing my ability to help. I think that the SETI project is very important to humanity, whose effects are very positive, in keeping people's hopes and dreams alive. Life IS out there, and finding it I believe would be a tremendously unifying force for all of us. We all as a people look at things as "Us vs. Them". It could be country lines, race lines, or religion. There's nothing that brings us together as a whole. I believe that finding life and intelligent life at that would do this.
