Grinding out SETI packets is one of my hobbies. It is because I believe we should be looking deep in to space for any sign we can find. It was not long ago that people would have burned you at the stake for thinking there were other planets out there, and now we can detect them orbiting countless stars.

It would be illogical to believe that in the vastness of space across countless star systems there would not be other civilizations. At some point they would be searching the stars as we are.

Radio waves may not be the form of communication an advanced society, but there should be a narrow range in the technological evolution of a species that one would hope to find them using radio.

It is my hope that we are able to capture such signals. Although a timely reply may well be out of the question, it would at least put us in a position to know that the Human race is not alone.

Perhaps then we may put our differences aside and become a single humanity on one world named Earth.
