Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I am sure that extraterrestrial life exists, and, along with millions (possibly billions) of people, do not have a clue where to start looking for them. If discovered, I think they will be discovered within the next 10-20 years, considering our technology is constantly being upgraded a great deal. Possible benefits of discovering the extraterrestrials is that they could be a more civilized unit than us humans, and we could possibly adapt to their ways of life, and make a compromise of our technology for their technology. Possible dangers are that the extraterrestrials are a hostile, unstable unit, in which case, we probably wouldn't even have the slightest chance at surviving if they were to launch a strike on us.
