Personal background
Nothing terribly interesting about my life. I own a small computer store in cental Ohio. Setiathome gives my PCs at home and at the store something to do when they would otherwise be displaying flying toasters.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I belive that it is certain that there is life on other planets. Even if the odds of the existance of life on a given planet are the same as the odds of me winning the Ohio Lottery there would still be thousands of planets with life on them.
One thing that I have seen is that many have said that the once we determine one way or another if there is life on other planets then we will know whether there is a God or not. I'm trying to see how the two are connected. First of all we will NEVER prove that life does not exist on other planets. Searching for a trillion years and not finding life does not prove that it does not exist. If life does exist how does that prove anything about the existance of God?
