I am a 42 year old IT manager working on my Master in Information Systems. I am currently taking a distributed computing class. Instead of writing a paper our professor told us about the seti@Home site and said we could use that as our project. Since my family is an avid Star Trek fan I thought it sounded far more interesting than writing a 20 page paper on something else. I am running seti@home on the laptop I carry back and forth to work and my home computer. I will also install it on my daughter's and husbands computer for a total of four computers.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I think it is possible and will never say never. I am excited to get a chance to participate in this project.
