Personal background
I am 78 years old and have been interested in space for as long as I can remember.
I am retired now and enjoy running SETI in hopes we will discover another people somewhere out there.
My hobbies are flying full size aircraft,Amateur Radio and radio control model
planes.

For the last 18 years before I retired I worked with medical Linear Accelerators
used in cancer therapy. I have been married for 53+ years and have two grown sons.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
The universe is too large for us to be the only life in it.
Most likely if we discover extraterritorial life --it will discover us.
I do not think there is much danger to meeting others because they will
have to be more advanced the we are and if they have mastered space travel
they will most likely be peaceful.

We should be transmitting pictures of humans and of our planet into space
on the chance others will receive them.
