I hope extraterrestrial life exists. Otherwise, the universe is a pretty lonely place. I run SETI@home because I think it's exciting to be a part of the search. Plus, the screensaver looks cool.
I have watched Star Trek for my entire life. Currently, Voyager is my favorite series. I've always hoped that someday humans will be able to explore space.
I often wonder if it would be possible to communicate with extraterrestrial life were we to encounter it. Would we have any common frame of reference? Would we even have the same senses? I think it is beyond our imagination.
