| I'm from northwest Louisiana, as of April 2002 I am now 26 years old. I work as a webmaster for a national newspaper called The 12 Volt News . I enjoy working on computer, models, model railroading and anything to do with the space! |
| Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home |

Yes, I do believe there is life on other planets. I believe humans will discover this life when devote as much attention to the space program as they do to weapons of mass destruction! However, I do not believe our government is ready to handle the almost certainly different culture that awaits us.
Yes, I believe humans should transmit a beacon for others to find. I believe we should send out a repeating signal broadcast on a radio frenquency with a binary message that simply states who we are and that we wish peaceful contact.
I run SETI@home because if there is life out there, it is going to take as many people as possible to indentify it. I think the SETI@home project is needed and I think the government should help fund it. |
