Personal background
I'm a 31 years man from Quebec City, Canada newly arrived in France. I have three computers who generously donate their CPU time to SETI research. I've been working for the past 4 years has a Technical Support and Software Specialist for a company who build rugged handheld computer. Two computer are running Linux (Mandrake 9.2 and Xandros 2) and the third one is running.... i have no choice...WindowsXP :)

Since my computer do not mind working hard and many hours, I have decided to give them a little bit of work to do when i'm not using them at home. If they(and I) can help a little bit computerizing all those data to be able to find something, somewhere, somehow.. at least, i will be very happy to have been a part of it.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
1. Yes. I think we will not discover them but, they will be the one contacting us first but but finally, the most important think will be to discover that "WE ARE NOT ALONE"

2. We must send them a universal knowledge base so they can learn or use an universal language with us. I don't think that humans, like in movie, will be able to discover a way to communicate easely with them in such a short notice (FIRST CONTACT NOT PREDICTABLE).

3. I just want to give a little help and, since this is not to time comsuming...why not ;-). The project is a very good idea but we will need to be patient. Maybe only future generation will benefict from those research.
