I live in the east from France, in Alsace near Strasboug, near the German Border. I am 29, married an happy father of Ludan, a 4 months old boy. I made my study in technology and physical measurement in the University. Since I was a kid, I was interested in the astronomy, ... My teachers and my parents use to told me "Sebastien are you still with us or in the moon again ?" I was alaways dreaming about space explorations, but rather scientificly. Unfortunaltly, from my deep campaign I was bad advised (no internet at this time) and I can not reach university or school in the subject of space (such school does exists not far from here).
Now I am an adult, always with my dream as I look the star night, but of course with a "serious" work in order to feed and put a house-top on my family !
My other hobby is in the opposite of deep space : middle age. I play role playing game, always looking at a unknown castle (we have this chance in our old Europe !), accessories or furniture...
I believe that human being does look at the sky since several millenar. So it as never really change. Although know we know much more think as 500 years before, we only have a ridiculous parts of the elements that could lead us to the beginning of the truth !

Well, I the universe is infinite, there must be an infinited probability that an other life form exists ! But it could be infinitly far from here too... A life form, this does not mean an intelligent form... this ist another question. The problem of the time : during 5 000 000 000 years, something could have past, when you consider what human being did in the past 100 years... May be some ET intelligence form has existed and disappear. May be they do not still exist... I think nowadays the answer is as much in science as in phylosophy (religion..?..). May be we will discover Them today before lunch or within 10 000 years... (I do not take no risks at all...)
The possible benefits and danger of the Contact with ET Life ? The subject is very huge. I will only give my point of view : we are always afraid of what we do not know. The question is will we dominate this ancestral fears ? The first possible positive effect could be to open our mind and make us think that there is something much important than the today's benefit. I do not hink that it could be good if a very advance ET life give us all there technology and science, as we are not wise enough.
Today, a good thing would be a message like this : we are here too. If you want to have the hope to meet us one days, stop polluing your planet and hating your neighbour, or your will never have the time to do it.
For all this reason I run SETI@home, and put symbolicly my little stone to this ant-like work.
