My name is Thomas J. Allen owner and founder of MoroseNYC.com, LLC.
My occupation is a web solutions specialist. I've worked for big companies in the past like MTV, Grey Direct, BusinessWeek, etc. making life easier for them as far as web solutions goes. I now run my own company called MoroseNYC.com.

| Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home |

I do believe Extraterrestrial life exist and have visited this planet, but also know that the government is hiding this fact due to security issues as far as them protecting Americans. If they can't stop these UFO's going over our bases then how can they protect us if anything other should happen. People will stop paying government taxes, and all hell will break lose due to a race of humans who all thought of life from inside a small box, to a small race among many. Religion will be questioned and so will the politics we live by each day.
As for sending out beacons, we've already done this with some of our satellites we sent to other planets and then drifted in to deep space, like Voyager. But personally I think that's asking for trouble. If we tell everyone in the neighborhood where we are, we could have a national incident if the race who finds us is looking for a new home due to their planet resources that are depleted. Us humans are on this same brink of depilation with our resources, that's why we are looking at Mars for our next move.
As far as SETI@Home it is a very smart project to use the power and time of all of us to do this critical research for other life. Its good to see if there are others out there but also we must at all cost be equipped to handle any trouble that may come our way. Its like us looking in the ocean for new species but then here comes a great white... So we must be careful, and if the government had any common sense to make this info public, some of the great minds who do not have this security clearance can finally find out what we are dealing with and come up with a great solution. The government is not to bright on these topics so they should make it all public to let the pro's handle a good solution.
Sorry I had to include this... cause if they know all this then something smaller like 9/11 would not of happened.
We need to look out for ourselves instead of politicians who know nothing except raising taxes and spending it. |
