Personal background
Male, 38 of age from Norway. Work with insuranse in Oslo. Married with one daughter, six years. My hobbies are chess, workout, music and of course any scientific stuff.
I have passed 4000 units (today 070801)in one year only. Pretty damn good if I may say. I use all the computers at work, risking my job... No really I work a lot, and very often I stay the night at work so I have the oppurtunity to let them analyze a lot.

Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I do belive in other lifeforms, but I do not think they will appear same as humans. There is no chanse whatsoever that life can have developed in the same way as on earth. I don't know how we can discover it. Maybe we are using the wrong methods in the search of ET. We are just a fragment in space so I think we'll need a lot of luck in our search. It might take millions of years. By that time our civilization will be long gone. If we should find it now, I am not sure we would even know. It would most likely be held back by authorities , or maybe even by you. But in the end.... What do I know?

I do think though that SETI is a very exiting project and I wish you the best of luck !

P.S. I do hope CIA or FBI or whoever will knock on the door some day and tell me ; " This is it"..........
