| I´am 25 years old and come from Germany, I was born in the town of Rotenburg Wümme in 1976. In 1995 I begun a training for a salesman, which ended in 1998 with succes. Seti is one of my favourite hobby´s, I heard about it by seeing the film Mission to Mars, on the DVD was an appendix about seti and an Internet link to this great site, after testing it 3 months some friends asked me about this programm and id tell them the purpose of it. A week later we founded the German group called "Die Counters", ´cause we are an Lan player Clan, an this name belongs to our favourite game. At this time we use every PC ( Executor; 2x Xeon 2Ghz @ 4,4 Ghz, Lusankaja; Pentium IV 2Ghz @ 2,5Ghz and last but not least Jedihammer; Pentium IV 1,7Ghz ) and time we have to process some workunits from seti, it´s like a race between the 5 topmembers from our little group. | Yes I think we are not alone, there are billions of starssystmes out there. Why should we the only Planet where life exists. I do not know how we will discover alien life, but one is for sure; It will be very exiting and I think: If an alien species have the technologie for connecting our planet, it will not be end in an war or something, this is only an fantasy image made by our tv and authors. I think we should send a beacon to find other species, but we should not make the mistake to send our DNA frequency´s (Yes this mention comes from a hollywood made movie named "Species"). Information about our lifeform, the spieces who live on our planet, and the history of us, would be enough. Why do I run Seti? I´am interessted in science so I will help to make this work a little bit faster, as it now is running. If there some signales discoverd by my work, it will be funny, but I´m don´t want to be a hero or something this kind. |
