Religion, and aliens are some how connected. Whether alien contact is what started all major religion, our some how influenced it we don't know. But I sure would like some answers.
I think the two are so closely related that governments/religious groups around the world are forced to keep it concealed. We would have world wide chaos, if religion was disproved by the existence of aliens. If in fact the mis interpetation of aliens by man kind is what inspired religion then 99% of the population would be lost. And the single most powerful means of control would be dis-banned. (religion that is)
However the one frontier that will unite man kind is Space and what ever is out there. As human beings we struggle with things that are different than our selves. (racism/bigotry/persecution) The existence of an entirely different race will bring us together as a species. Color/religion/whatever will not matter when there is something out there that is not from the planet.
