A bit of a space case who happens to be online, quite a bit. I do "internet stuff" for a living.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
Why do you run SETI@home?
It started off (14YA) because I thought it was a cool screensaver. These days, it just feels good being able to have some part in this project.
What are your views about the project?
I'm a firm believer in both what SETI is doing, as well as crowd sourcing
Any suggestions?
Hmm...the interface here has remained a bit spartan but that's not necessarily a bad thing. I do think you could SETI@home could be better marketed so that more space cases like myself could partake.
SETI@home and Astropulse are funded by grants from the National Science Foundation, NASA, and donations from SETI@home volunteers. AstroPulse is funded in part by the NSF through grant AST-0307956.
