Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
Possibly there is life 'out there' since we are 'out there' too. We may discover ourselves as we were or possibly as we will be. The nature of existence is what we are part of, and possibly what we are is part of a greater whole, which is irreducible to less than that whole. Therefore we will be listening not to ourselves, but to echoes of the self. The benefits of self realization are the same as those of meditation; i.e., we can 'be' as we are without the weight of that which is backward or forward of the point in which we find ourselves/self. The danger is in moving the focus from the center to outside the center and seeing the reflection as being other than it is, ourself.

We by our very existence transmit beacons which are always to be found, for they resonate outward as ripples which set in motion endless other ripples. The information we must send is being sent and will continue. If we but center on our centered-ness there we will be attune with ourselves.

SETI@home quantizes what is happening already in nature. We are merely focusing with instrumentation in an effort to heighten our perception of that center in which we find ourselves to be. My view is: being connected with the facets of self-flow as measured by this project can only advance ourselves/self perception.

This rambling collection of words above are but a representation of the electrical synthesis of the stimulation of questions posed by the project, and return to become part of the larger synthesis.

Suggestion: remain open...humor abounds.
