Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
(1)I think Extraterrestrial life does exist. I think we will find them soon but I don't know how we will discover it. I think if we discover them we can find out how they got to the level of civilization that they could send the signal, and that will help us. (2) I think listening is just fine for now. (3) I run seti@home because I just want the opportunity to search for aliens. I think the project is very fun. Why isn't there a play button so I can listen to the 107 second work unit over the computer speakers so I can use my own brain to process the signals?
SETI@home and Astropulse are funded by grants from the National Science Foundation, NASA, and donations from SETI@home volunteers. AstroPulse is funded in part by the NSF through grant AST-0307956.
