Profile: Kristof 'Optonic' Korwisi

Personal background
I was born in Frankfurt, Germany in 1984. Since leaving the hospital I'm living in Bad Homburg, a medium-sized town within a stone's throw of Frankfurt.

At present I work at bibo tv/rhein-main tv as an ancillary technician and as a sysadmin.

I'm interested in computers running Unix-like operating systems. My largest computer is an SGI Iris Crimson Elan running IRIX 5.3. There is also a SPARC Station IPX and of course some ordinary i386-arc-computers. I'm also interested in plants and literature.

You can find me at IRCNet where I'm known as Optonic or at ICQ (172300062).
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
There are uncounted galaxies, not to mention the stars and the planets, out there. Small minded is the one claiming we are the only ones taking up room in the universe. Maybe mankind is never going to find another intelligence species out there in the enlighted dark. But we will never find extraterrestrial life if there is nobody looking for it!
