Personal background
Hello,

my Name is Ramon Estaña, and I am a german researcher at the University of Karlsruhe. My research theme is the Nanoworld, the world of very small particles. A spelling says: "There's plenty of room at the bottomn", and that is correct. You can imagine that easily if you are looking through a SEM nto the Mikro- and Nanoworld. So, there are things in commonness looking at the outer space.

Probably we are living on a planet who is a singularity in space, but no one knows if we are really alone. So - I think - it's normal to human nature for looking out of the window examing his surrounding area. No one wants to be alone, and he needs some kind of language to communicate. Our scientific language is the mathematics, and mathematics is always and everywhere identic. SETI uses this language, and this is the only way out of the dilemma. And so, this way is absolutely OK.

Good Luck furthermore, SETI

Ramon
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
1. extraterristical life will exist, but it would be a maximum luck if our generation would discover them

2. I don't know if this is the right way. No one knows what would stand in front of the door if we call for friendship...

3. Is' an very interesting experiment doing this task, and we all will get much expirience, anyhow if we succeed or not
