Profile: DustyJacket

Personal background
Ex-Army officer.
Ex-Police officer.
Now, just a family man and software engineer.
Moved to Lee's Summit, Missouri to keep my job. Previously was in Colorado since 1972.

I started GeoCaching in Feb 2003. A great activity if you need a reason to get off your butt, and out of the house. (www.geocaching.com)

I (and my wife) ride motorcycles with B.A.C.A. (Bikers Against Child Abuse). I also ride to work whenever there is no ice on the ground. (Hit some ice in an intersection and fell over once.)
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I hope ET life exists, but I doubt I'll live long enough to ever find out.

When I first discovered seti@home, I was very enthusiastic. When both my parents came down with cancer (twice each) and died, I spent most of my spare cycles at United Devices researching various cancer drugs. Now I hop back and forth between both sites. I wish the best of luck to both of them.
