Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
It is my belief that the Earth was used as a planetary prison for the criminally insane millions of years ago, and that those criminals left on this Earth are our ancestors. This explains why we are still such a violent race. Over the centuries we have achived a bit of civiliation, but we still have the violent insanity of our ancestors in our genetic makeup. Our parent civiliation which originally abandoned the criminally insane on this planet that became our ancestors still monitor us to make sure that we never become a threat to the galaxy, hence the numerous UFO sightings. Abductions are sometimes performed to determine if violent, criminal behavior still exists in the human race. Sadly, it does. As our technology advances, especially in space exploration, the number of UFO sightings has increased since our parent race must keep a closer eye on us. Aside from the monitoring missions, the planet Earth is quarantined from the rest of the galaxy. All signs of extraterrestrial life is filtered to prevent it from reaching us so we may remain seperated from the rest of the populated galaxy. If we should ever achieve extra solar travel, we will become a threat to the glalaxic community and will find ourselves at war with the intelligent species we have sought.
