Personal background
My home is in "beautiful" Broken Arrow, OK., which is a suburb of Tulsa. For the past 21 years I have worked in the pipeline inspection industry as an inspector/consultant. This profession has given me the opportunity to travel and spend a great deal of time overseas.

When I get to spend time at home I have several hobbies that I enjoy. Currently I am involved in the restoration of two old Harley motorcycles and a 48 Chrysler sedan. One Sunday per month I try to attend the launch party of the local rocketry club.

I would enjoy correspnding with anyone else who is interested in the SETI project or any other similar (or unusual) projects. Feel free to send me an e-mail.

Having always been a science buff, I have hoped to find employment in areospace or research. Since that scenario never came to pass, SETI has given me the opportunity to "get involved."
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I field that there is certainly a serious possiblity that life elsewhere.

Humans have been sending out beacons for decades. Unfortunately, the content of most these beacons has been celestial pollutions (i.e. broadcast TV, radio, etc)

I run SETI@home so that I can stay involved in science and feel like I am in some small way making a contribution to the field of science.
Plus the fact that I have a reputation to uphold at my office. Seems that all the younger folks have taken to refering to me as, "THAT FREAKY OLD MAN IN THE BACK OFFICE"
