Statistical certainty that extraterrestrial life exists. However, as pointed out in the movie "Contact" with Jodie Foster, life is either too far away to reach us in our lifetime or too primitive to make contact with -- using the assumption of relativistic light speed communication. There may be intelligent signals reaching us, but we are looking for them with the wrong technology. I look forward to publishing my work on suprarelativistic communication theory in the next couple years.
