Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
Yes I think there is othere life . The thing about finding it , well the thing I have found when you look for something to hard . Later you find it was right where you looked before . The plus side of finding life , that would be a higher purpose to our own stagnating one . The bad side would be what if there not to freindly ? What if they could wipe us out and not leave space are we ready for that . Our world has not grown up anough to take on another race with that ability . In another sence maybe thats just the think we need to come together as a people . Should we send a single out A glowing neon sign that says I am hear , hurt me or help me . That answer is for the people to decide . What does the rest of the world think . If they don,t like the united states prying into there lives what about a race that could wipe us all away and begin again . What of a race that could send Astroids out of orbit toward us and destroy all of us without a thought .
My reply is yes to that one , You don,t get any place without taking chances .
Why do I use this program ? It is the one hope that if somebody is trying I have help . We must all do our parts in the greater scheme of things .
If I could add that there could be other ways of sending information and by checking the other ways you could have better results . Advances in lazer comunacations and digital com . That opens a whole new can of worms that im not willing to go into at the time .
