Personal background
Greetings. I live in Ajax Ontario Canada (no there are no Igloos up here, and I do drive a car, not a dog sled) I work for the Nielsen Media Research TV Ratings company as a Technical Tester. Fancy name for Gopher. I do just about everything there, but I specialize in ensureing our inhouse engineering developments work. And if they work, I try to break them. At the time of this writing (03/2003) I'm 30 years old. I've been at this company since I was 14 slugigng boxes in the warehouse. Married, 2 kids, 1 dog, 1 turtle, and a handfull of fish (turtle food).
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
Seti is a great project. will we find intelligent life? who knows. I'd love to be the one who's computer crunched that lucky work unit. If there is life out there, will we ever meet it? I doubt it. Its that whole Speed of light barrier that gets me. And I doubt well ever break that. there are some elements of phisics I don't think can be broken. But Who knows. i'm more curious to know what other things we will discover with this project.

What should we transmit if we we sent out a signal? every episode of the Simpsons. Of if you want to be scientific about it, the perhaps Prime numbers? I dunno. I like the simpsons Idea the best
