| I have always been interested in sci-fi and astronomy. I like to spend time under the stars with telescope and binoculars, often imagining what is out there and is anyone looking back? I live in Ohio and work in the health care field. I have been married since 1983 and have 4 children. I run Seti on my office computers and on my home computer. It is always running in the background. |
| Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home |

| I think it is quite likely that extraterrestrial life exists, even sentient life. I think it is highly unlikely we will find it though, given the age and size of the visible universe. Discovering life elsewhere would be similar to the native North Americans first seeing Columbus. It would be awe inspiring, even terrifying to some and would make us reassess our position relative to God's creation and to each other. I run seti@home to participate in a worthwhile science research project and to say I had some small role in discovering life "out there" |
