I use SETI@home because I like the idea that the computer is doing something useful even when it's not actually being used.
If Humans were to transmit a message/beacon I think it should say some things about what our race is like in each different community (e.g. Asian, Western etc.) and that it should also say "come visit us", presuming that long distance space travel isn't just something for the sci-fi shows. |
