Personal background
I'm a 24 year old networking engineer in a small company in Hannover, Germany. Somedays ago ham radio was my main hobby and so I was always interested in listening to noise in the hope to hear something...
In August 1999 I started with SETI@home and now have some dedicated PCs running it.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I'm sure ET exists. We know some stars have planets and on some of those planets life could be possible if some enviromental settings are right sized. On the other side we know that there are billions of stars. Even if the chance for the wonder that happened on earth is really small there should be a large ammount of planets inhabited by intelligent creatures. The problem will be to get in contact with them because the space is so damn big. But maybe sometimes we can do things like on Enterprise and travel to other planets and we will finally meet them. Never give up the hope...
