I am retired from the communications world and my major hobby is Ham radio. I have been licensed 42 years as K1WY and hold a FCC Extra class license.
I am 54 years old, married, have three children and 7 grandchildren.
I have always been interested in computers and almost anything electronic.
I have 8 computers at home and have them networked via a wireless LAN.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I feel that the universe is to vast to harbor only one planet with life. The vastness of the universe and the time required for signals to travel maybe the only problem in discovering extraterrestrial life. I would like to believe that other civilizations might set up a beacon transmitter to alert others of thier exsistance. I am pleased to be part of this program.
