I am a 40 years old computer-engineer and work at a colege in Enschede (Netherlands)
My occupation is MTS-computer and electronics and I have worked for Digital Equipment for about 20 years.
My hobbies are computers, painting and watching the stars on a clear evening.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
1. I believe that there is extraterrestial live out there, we wil in the end discover it but I do not believe it wil happen in my live time.
I do not have any idee what the bennefits or dangers are.
2. We are sending everyting we are transmitting in to space, maybe there is someone looking at Lucyl Ball right now.
3. I find it interessting to look at the stars and immaging that there is someone out there who's interested if there is live out side his or hers planet.
My first impression is good. And I do not have any suggestions yet.
