Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
Extraterrestrial life must exist. Most humans are way to egotistical by thinking
That they are the do all, end all of the whole universe. Humans will discover
them when the "ET's" are ready to let us. I think SETI will help. I want to
beleive that our meeting will be a good thing, but if they are anything like
humans, we should be prepared to become their slaves and servants like we have
done with any race we felt was inferior to us. What goes around comes around.
But I still think that we can have a satisfactory exchange of ideas and
philosophies without have to resort to that. I am also concerned that our
government would lash out at them in fear and destroy any chance we may have
for a peaceful coexistance.

We don't need to send out a beacon. All the radio waves and tv signals are
already out there for all to find just like when we "listen" with SETI.

I run SETI cause I want to meet these strange races and become friends with
them. A good project that should be promoted more so we can get more CPU time
running.
