Though I teach literature at a state university, I do have an amateur's interest in astronomy. I have a special interest in early-19th-century American children's magazines & books.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
It would be an incredible accident if life hadn't developed somewhere else in the universe -- though it may not look the way we expect. I run SETI@home because I think that the investigation is worthwhile, & because I hope that the numbers my computer crunches will be useful to someone, even if *I* can't understand them!
