I sincerly believe that extraterrestrial live excist, not only out there, but also much closer to home. It depends on who you met and how first contact is made, if they must be feared or embraced.
I am running SETI@home, because I think the humanrace can use some outer space friends and even enemies (because a shared enemy will hopefully unit humans in all countries and all races) and thats why I like the idea of a beacon as wel.
But the best advice I can give; Open your eyes and have a good look at the world you live on and at the beings living on it. As long as we have no alternative. Take care of Earth and embrace all the live you find here. It could be aliens after all. ;-) |
