Personal background
HI,

Im from Portsmouth, Hampshire in the south of the United Kingdom.

I have had an interest in astronomy for the past 13 years and am recently considering a re-direction to radio astronomy due to massive amount of light pollution around where I live.

I currently own a 4.5" Reflector and a 6" Dobsonian.

If you would like to ask me any questions please e-mail me at founder@hampshireghostclub.net

Thanks, Happy Hunting and Clear Skies

Regards

D Scanlan
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
Well I think ET's are there! Weather they travel to out planet in space ships is a no win no lose argument which is hard to prove either way.

Should humans transmit a beacon - I think we already have done in a certain way with the launch of Voyager back in the 1960's.

I run seti at home because I feel that my participation in seti is helping to contribute a piece, all be it a small piece, of help to the already overworked scientific community.

Good Luck to all at Seti!
