| Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home |

1. Yes, I'm possitive that Extraterrestrial life exists. It would be stupid to think that we are all alone in the Universe. We are not THAT special.
I belive we won't find them if they don't want us to, so it's always good to keep the doors open just in case we get some kind of message.
Dangers and Benefits... well, I guess it all depends on the nature of these beings. Nothing can be told at this time.
2. Definetely, we should transmit a beacon. The information... Well, I would include the most up-to-date encyclopedia, a huge load of pictures from the planet, language books, History books... Everything there is to know about us... but that's just me.
3. Well, I recently found the SET@Home Client and I thought I would give it a try, and since it's so slow on resources, I figured "Hey, why not?". I belive that you guys need as much help as possible. I think that this project is really interesting, and for once, it doesn't require the user to buy anything in order to participate. At the time, I can't think of any suggestions. |
