Personal background
I live in colorado and i go to ranum high school. For the most part I joined this because it was a cool concept and I was interested in being part of it. I am involved in a program called International Baccalaureate, otherwise known as IB its basically all advanced classes, until the junior and senior years of high school you are in pre-ib which is basically to get you prepared for the real thing. I'm really having to work at it to keep my grades up. I want to be a veterinarian because i have an extreme love of all animals. I am a born again christian and believe that god could be more than capable to create another planet supporting life, that is diverse if not more so than our own planet. I enjoy playing online games and going to movies. cards are one of my obsessions that I really enjoy and practice at. for the most part the only thing i have accomplished is that i am able to cut the deck with one hand.

I am part of the group american clippers. which is mostly comprised of students in a ranum science class that the teacher introduced the idea to us. most of us are in this pre-ib program which just now started at ranum. Although we are yet to find out if we are going to be accepted and able to actually go into the IB part of the program. On another note this program is so good that in the state of florida if you have a IB diploma you are automatically accepted into any state college. On yet another note the favorite word of those teaching pre-IB and IB is rigorous, because truthfully it really is a "rigorous" program that has many hurdles to go over in our time as high school students.

This is my life in a nutshell

Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
1. Do you think extraterrestrial life exists? If so, when and how will humans discover it? What are the possible benefits and dangers of such a discovery?

yes I think that it is such a huge universe that god created and to limit himself to only one planet is hard for me to imagine.

2. Should humans transmit a beacon for others to find? If so, what information should we send?

sure then who knows we could cut down the time it takes to find out if there really is someone out there to make contact with. the expression of some sort of peace of maybe words for them to translate or something. who knows what we would send but we should do that just to see if something happens.

3. Why do you run SETI@home? What are your views about the project?

I love being part of a project like this that really does have a cause for betterment of mankind possibly who knows it just a really cool concept that my computer is processing stuff that is from another place so far away its hard to imagine.
