Personal background
I'm a 22 year old student from Canada. My interests lie mainly in the study of human culture throughout history. Eventually I would like to be able to study cultures and histories of other species apart from our solar system and learn as much as I can about the ways of life in histories past. I like to piece together pockets of ruins and remains and re-tell stories of cultures long gone. I believe that we are not here to dominate, but to explore and make a stand that yes, we are a civil species and we have made ourselves proud as a result.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I believe without a doubt that there is sentient life beyond our known universe. The fact that mankind has expressed its creativity in so many ways defines us all as creatures of exploration. My motivations are to explore the human race to its fullest capabilities, so we can finally begin to repair some of the damages that have already been done to our own planet (as well as to each other). I believe that if we are going to continue to new frontiers, we had better be able to stand as a more reliable civilization, putting aside all differences and petty values to accomplish more important goals.

I am running SETI@home to help accomplish the main goal of humanity. We are curious species, and with this project, the more of us there are to help generate the information we need, the more we will know about sentient life beyond our known galaxy.
