I'm live in Washington State about half an hour from Downtown Seattle. I work for Experience Music Project for the last 1yr and 8 months. My hobby are backyward astromony with a little touch of astro-photography thrown in.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
1. I think so. But how and when will we ever meet them,it will be in the future when our children's children's children will hopefully will meet them. First contact will be main thing, but I'm sure it will dangerous; since we don't know what these extraterrestrial will look like or what their languages consist of.
2. Sure. If you want to contact other signs of life. First thing is send a beacon with messages similar to the ones on Voyager 1 and 2 and also Pioneer 10 spacescraft, but with update information and technology.
3. It sounded cool to look for extraterrestrial life that is outside our solar system. My view is KEEP ON LOOKING and that is my suggestion also. This project is so cool to let us to download the SETI@home for our computer and help you guys out.
