Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I became interested in SETI when I saw Carl Sagan's 'Cosmos' and through reading his work.

SETI at home is worthwhile: 'Small steps'

Define intelligence? Will we find EM signals which have been propagated by complex system which has eveolved the capacity to manipulate information? Yes, the probability is very close to 1. If we keep looking long enough; if the human species does not die out, we will find it. We should also transmit our own signals- we know that communication starts when someone produces a signal. We should be active in the attempt to establish communication with other intelligences.
