Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
Going to cheat a little here.
Q1. Do you think extraterrestrial life exists? If so, when and how will humans discover it? What are the possible benefits and dangers of such a discovery?

A1. Yes, would be a waste of alot of space if it was just us. When is very hard to say. But one thing is for sure they will not try to contact us till we get our act together. Would you want to set down in the middle of the dark ages? No and they feel the same way I am sure. As far as benefits go we would have such a leap in tech that it will be wonderful Just hope we can make it till then. The dangers well look at what we do to each other now and times that to the 100th power if we stay the course.

Q2. Should humans transmit a beacon for others to find? If so, what information should we send?

A2. I think that would be a good idea. Of that I am not sure. Just make sure it is not the world news. lol... :-P

Q3. Why do you run SETI@home? What are your views about the project? Any suggestions?

A3. For the hope that one day we will get contacted. or we pick up just a glimps of what is out there. As far as the project goes I think it is a good idea. After all they may or may not be looking for us. As far as suggestion go.
Not reallywell maybe one. I would think that life would be past our spot from the core. it makes sence to use us as a base line and work out from Sol sense the outer stars are older.
