I'm from canada b.c. My interestes include the restoration of classic cars and the repair of them. Hobbies let's see here I enjoy building model cars, working on cars and well anything that involves cars in general. In case you could not tell I am a complete gear head...
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I think that looking for extraterrestrial life is a great idea and i do beleive we could learn alot from them, including new cures for deases and such.
The dangers could be that we could find a life form that is violent and only wants to conquer rather than learn about other life. I do beleave that humans should transmit a beacon so that outher races can find us. As for what info we should transmit, such info should include are biological info such as genetic make up as well as a language sample so others could learn how we talk and comunicate. All the info sent should be useful and descriptive of our race.
I run seti in hopes that we will find life other than our own planet.
