Personal background
I work for Eastman Kodak as a software engineer in Rochester, NY. I have been working with computers since buying a Radio Shack Model 1 computer. Later I built a RS Model 1 clone designed by LNW. I remember when 48K RAM was overkill.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
The SETI project seems like a worth while project to put my time and resources in. As others have stated, the computer is just sitting there looking for something to do in the background. I hope others who are unsure about this project will choose to sign-up and donate their unused CPU cycles.
